GRAHA Monthly Board Meeting
November 7th, 2017

Board Members in Attendance: Sean Colter, Chris Henrichsen, Chris Marinucci, Peter Miskovich, Jeremy Carlson, Brad Hyduke, Chris Morque, and Mark Butterfield
Others Present: Colleen Forrest, Dale Christy, and Mandy Dick
Meeting called to order at 6:00 PM.
The first item on the agenda was regarding our gambling audit done by accountant Mandy Dick form Glorvigen’s accounting firm. She noted that our audit was perfect, and that GRAHA has donated 58.35 percent of our gambling earnings back to non-profit organizations. Mrs. Dick also stated that pull tab sales were down from the previous year, but raffle ticket sales were up.
Next, charitable gambling manager, Dale Christy presented the Gambling update- Motion to approve September 2017 tax return made by Jeremy Carlson, seconded by Chris Morque, All approved.
November Budget- Motion made by Chris Marinucci, seconded by Jeremy Carlson, approved by all.
Donation requests by Blackduck Public schools for improvements to playground equipment and other facility matters, one for $500 and one for $1200. Motion was made by Chris Marinucci, seconded by Peter Miskovich, approved by all.
Donation request by Roger Mischke for 3 Grand Rapids hockey players that are headed to the national tournament with the Northern Elite Team in the amount of $250 to $500 per player. That request was denied.
Check Register and Balance Sheet- Motion made by Chris Marinucci, seconded by Pete Miskovich, all approved.
Secretary Report- No report due to Mr. Sterle’s absence.
Boys PDC Update- Recommendation for Bantam B2 head coach to be Chris Hernesman. Motion made by Pete Miskovich, seconded by Chris Henrichsen, approved by all.
No report from the girls PDC.
A request is being made for a possible cease and desist to the Herald-Review regarding a hockey book that is not affiliated with GRAHA and this is confusing GRAHA sponsors.
There was a request by Roger Mischke to donate 2 sets of goalie gear on his behalf. Motion was made by Pete Miskovich, seconded by Brad Hyduke, approved by all. Thank you!
Mark Butterfield had Sports Engine update the GR Hockey website, so girls can register at their appropriate age level for either the 8U, 10U, 12U, 15U, Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, or Junior Gold without having to request movement from the GRAHA Board.
Requests were made for refunds by two families. One child did not want to play anymore, and the other child will be playing for Greenway Peewee B team instead. Both requests were denied due to the season already a month in.
Request to allow child to move from Grand Rapids Peewee B2 to Greenway Peewee B- approved by all.
GRAHA employee Colleen Forrest gave an update regarding a hockey company wanting to advertise on the GRAHA website. More details to follow.

Finally, Sean Colter opened the meeting up for input from members and the public. No input received.
